Every good story needs a beginning, and Carjyk's starts back in 1999, when our company was first founded in the small town of Putten in the Netherlands. What began as a modest venture rooted in publishing and creative media slowly grew into something we're truly proud of today: a home for children's storytelling.

Our roots are in books. Long before we became Carjyk, an online children's bookstore, our team was already deep in the world of publishing, producing and issuing all kinds of media, including books, magazines, and multimedia projects. That early experience taught us something we still carry with us every day: a good story has the power to shape how a child sees the world.

Over the years, we've stayed close to that same address on Kozakkenweg, the place where it all began, while our vision has grown well beyond it. Under the steady guidance of our director, who has led the company since its earliest days, we decided to bring our love of publishing into a new chapter: creating fun, engaging, and personalized storybooks for children everywhere under the name Carjyk.

Today, Carjyk combines decades of publishing know how with a simple mission. We want every child to fall in love with reading. Whether it's a bedtime story featuring their own name and face, or an adventure built around their favorite things, our books are made to spark imagination, encourage a lifelong love of stories, and turn reading time into something magical.

We're a small team, but our roots run deep. From our beginnings as a publisher over two decades ago to the personalized storybooks we create today, Carjyk's story has always been about one thing: the power of a good book to inspire young minds.
